These videos deal with the futility of waiting.
In this project I worked with family and neighbors, in the village of Dweir in Southern Lebanon. Together we prepared a series of performances and through a process of improvisation got the final result. The title of this series is inspired by the formal resemblance of one piece with the picture of “The Sacred Love and Profane Love” by Titian which addresses the fleeting happiness on earth and eternal happiness in paradise.
These videos live on the fine line between an apparent mysticism and daily routine in South Lebanon. In the video Mouna sings for a lover that she awaits until she gets annoyed with the situation.
