Besides the Sea evokes the condition of vulnerability of everyday life in Lebanon. Nine men and women hum and sing the song, which Wadi Alsafi popularized “Beside the Sea” (Andak Bahariya). In a sort of choreography, they turn and begin their singing, while underwater struggle to keep their head above water.
